A physical education teacher, and a good one for that matter, knows how to talk to their students about healthy eating. Diet is just as important as exercise, and as our country continues to get wider and bigger, it’s more important than ever that we teach our children what is healthy to eat and what to avoid.

Physical Education and Its Importance for Your Children

It may be apparent to a person who is interested in physical education that physical inactivity can result in a number of problems for children. Lack of play and movement helps to develop a major risk factor for developing coronary artery disease. Additionally, it increases the risk of stroke and other cardiovascular risk factors such as obesity, high blood pressure, low HDL or “good” cholesterol, and diabetes.
